Pathways to Success:

“I want to start off by saying thank you so much for choosing me. Your contribution to my education is an investment in my future and I am immensely grateful for it. With this scholarship, it would mean that I have someone in my corner, seeing me for what I've been through, how hard I have worked day and night to get to where I am today, and really acknowledging me as a person....All in all, your scholarship will be reassurance in an area that I have been struggling in. YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER."  - Emma

"I would like to sincerely thank you for this scholarship for the 2025/2026 school year. I am honored and deeply appreciative of your support. This scholarship will make a meaningful difference as I pursue my degree in Fire Protection Technology...Being a young woman pursuing Fire and EMS can be intimidating, and I have had moments of doubt, but I'm hoping to prove that not only am I capable of doing the job, but that I can excel in it." - Gwendolynne

"I have gratefully been selected as the recipient of your scholarship! I am so excited for this opportunity - only a year ago I was doubting my ability to perform successfully in an academic setting due to the lengthy amount of time since I have been enrolled in a school system... Coming to Skagit Valley College has truly changed my life already, and to be selected as the recipient of a scholarship just makes me feel so special and like I can do this & I am worth it!...We are currently experiencing homelessness which has an impact on my academic performance due to inability to focus and lack of proper relaxation setting, but the knowledge that I will be receiving this extra financial cushion to help with expenses that will help me be successful in college is quite heartwarming. Thank you for this opportunity and for believing in my education." - Ressa
